Joseph R. Brown Heritage Society

The Joseph R. Brown Heritage Society is a nonprofit membership organization devoted to securing the ongoing research, financial resources and continuing volunteer effort to operate the Joseph R. Brown Research Library and the Joseph R. Brown Minnesota River Center in the historic courthouse in Henderson, Minnesota.

So Who Was Joseph R. Brown?

And what must a person do to merit a museum with his name on it! Well! Joe Brown spent fifty years in Minnesota as a vigorous entrepreneur, unabashed booster and major public figure. His name is forever linked with the towns he founded, Henderson and Browns Valley, and with Brown County, which is named for him.
